The black metal ensemble Slagmaur will release their fourth studio album, Hulders Ritual, on February 27, 2026, via Prophecy Productions. The album was co-produced by Snorre W. Ruch of Thorns, a figure often credited with defining the „Norwegian black metal sound.” The record features guest appearances by Hoest (Taake), Silenoz (Dimmu Borgir), and D.G. (Misþyrming).
Hailing from Brekstad, Slagmaur is part of the „Nidrosian black metal movement” centered in Trondheim. Hulders Ritual is described as a departure from traditional black metal repetition, incorporating sardonic manias and brutal instrumentation. The tracklist includes Ritual Dogs, Huldergeist, and Rathkings. This release is highly anticipated within the avant-garde black metal community.
