It’s official – Faith No More are back and returning to the live arena! The legendary American band, which spent decades defying genres and reshaping the landscape of alternative rock and metal, has just been confirmed as the very first headliner for Mystic Festival 2027. The upcoming edition will take place from June 10–12, 2027, at a brand-new venue: the grounds of Polsat Plus Arena Gdańsk in Letnica.

Following their departure from the Gdańsk Shipyard, the festival is opening a fresh chapter. Securing Faith No More as the opening name on the 2027 poster sets an exceptionally high standard, signaling massive ambitions for the festival’s new era.

Formed in San Francisco in the early 1980s, Faith No More are widely regarded as pioneers of alternative metal and one of the most innovative crossover acts in rock history. Led by the eccentric and powerhouse vocalist Mike Patton, the band shattered traditional genre boundaries by fusing heavy metal aggression with funk slap-bass, rap phrasing, lounge jazz, and synth-pop textures. Anthems like Epic, Midlife Crisis, and their iconic cover of Easy defined an era and paved the way for subsequent music giants.

Having gone through multiple hiatuses and abruptly canceling their planned 2021 tour due to mental health and personal challenges, many fans feared FNM were gone for good. Now, bassist Bill Gould and the band have officially put those doubts to rest, confirming a triumphant return to the global stage. Their headline slot in Gdańsk is easily one of the most monumental rock announcements of the decade.
