Glam metal veterans Mötley Crüe have detailed a remastered 45th anniversary expanded edition of their 1981 debut record Too Fast For Love. The expanded release is set to hit physical and digital stores on October 30.
The centerpiece of the anniversary campaign is a limited-edition deluxe box set anchored by the original 1981 Leathür Records 10-track mix, which routinely fetches thousands of dollars on the collector market. The collection also incorporates the subsequent 1982 Elektra Records version alongside previously unreleased live recordings from the band’s 1982 shows at Perkins Palace in Pasadena, California.
Archival materials included in the package feature an unreleased five-track vinyl LP showcasing Mötley Crüe during their earliest first-ever studio sessions in March 1981. Buyers will also receive a 100-page hardcover photo book containing unseen archival photography, a replica poster, lyric book, cassette demo, and a reproduction seven-inch single.
An ultra-exclusive run capped at 250 hand-numbered copies will be distributed through the band’s official museum platform, while standard vinyl and CD editions will reach general retail outlets. In tandem with the announcement, Mötley Crüe have made the rare 1981 demo track „Nobody Knows What It’s Like To Be Lonely” available on digital streaming services for the first time.
