Heavy metal vocalist Bruce Dickinson has officially announced a comprehensive 2026 remix of his seminal 1997 solo album Accident Of Birth. The updated edition is scheduled for release in conjunction with National Album Day UK on October 17, followed by a global rollout on October 23.

The legendary Iron Maiden frontman teamed up with Grammy Award-winning producer Brendan Duffey to completely overhaul the sonic landscape of the record. Duffey previously collaborated with Bruce Dickinson on his 2024 solo release The Mandrake Project and his 2025 project More Balls To Picasso. The newly remixed production has been crafted specifically for Dolby Atmos systems, bringing a modernized depth to the original multi-track recordings.

Accident Of Birth originally marked a pivotal moment in the solo career of Bruce Dickinson, representing his second major songwriting partnership with guitarist Roy Z and featuring guitar work from fellow Iron Maiden member Adrian Smith. The 1997 release yielded longstanding fan favorites including „Man Of Sorrows” and „Road To Hell”. Reflecting on the project, Bruce Dickinson expressed immense pride in revisiting the material and giving it a fresh technical presentation.

Physical formats for the 2026 reissue include Double Splatter Vinyl, standard CD, and a limited Double Splatter Vinyl plus CD bundle. Pre-orders have opened through official retail channels, accompanied by the immediate streaming release of the remixed single „Omega”. Fans can experience the revised mix across all major digital streaming platforms ahead of the autumn physical release.
