Arizona thrash metal veterans Flotsam and Jetsam are scheduled to release their new studio album, Rats In The Temple, on August 28, 2026. The release marks the band’s debut on Napalm Records and serves as the follow-up to their 2024 album, I Am The Weapon. According to vocalist Eric A.K. Knutson, the new material represents a significant creative effort for the band, which has remained active for nearly four decades.
The album features 13 tracks, opening with „Harvesting The Hate” and „Damnation.” The guitar duo of Michael Gilbert and Steve Conley are central to the album’s sound, alongside the rhythm section of drummer Ken Mary and bassist Bill Bodily. The lyrical themes are described as focusing on death, betrayal, and conflict.
