Sid Wilson has officially addressed his departure from Slipknot. The longtime turntablist recently updated his Instagram biography to reflect his tenure with the group, spanning from 1997 to 2026.
This confirmation follows a TMZ report that initially claimed Sid Wilson had been fired due to behavioral issues. While guitarist Jim Root initially urged fans to be skeptical of outside reports, Sid Wilson’s own social media update has clarified his status.
Sid Wilson joined Slipknot during their early years and was a core part of their visual and sonic identity for nearly three decades. The band has not yet announced a replacement for his position in the lineup.
