Abbath abruptly ended his August 14 performance at the SaariHelvetti Festival in Tampere, Finland. The frontman, appearing without his signature corpse paint, threw his guitar and stormed offstage during the first song.
Following the sudden exit, drummer Ukri Suvilehto addressed the crowd, initially attributing the cancellation to health issues. Suvilehto expressed regret for the interruption, stating that the band is struggling with health-related challenges and did everything possible to continue the gig.
Abbath, the former Immortal frontman, has faced public scrutiny in the past regarding live performances. The festival set was highly anticipated, and the band expressed their apologies to the fans who had gathered to see the set.
