Hard rock veterans Saliva have released their latest single, „Longshot,” featuring guest vocals from Lynyrd Skynyrd frontman Johnny Van Zant. The track is featured on Saliva’s new studio album, Breaking Through, which is scheduled to arrive on August 14 via Judge & Jury Records.
Breaking Through marks a new chapter for the band as they continue without founding guitarist Wayne Swinny, who passed away in 2023. Frontman Bobby Amaru shared that the band is committed to continuing in its current form as a tribute to Swinny’s legacy and his dedication to the group’s music.
In addition to Johnny Van Zant, the new album features collaborations with Trevor McNevan of Thousand Foot Krutch and Austin John Winkler. „Longshot” highlights the band’s southern rock influences while maintaining the heavy melodic hooks that defined their multi-platinum career.
