Swedish metalcore outfit Imminence has announced that their sixth studio album, titled Axis Mundi, is set for release on October 2 via Sumerian Records. To accompany the news, the band has simultaneously released two new singles, „False Light” and „Crestfallen.”

Guitarist Harald Barrett explained that the decision to release two singles side-by-side was intended to showcase the duality of darkness and light at the heart of the band’s identity. „False Light” and „Crestfallen” are described as radically different in sound and emotion but together tell a single cohesive story.

Axis Mundi was self-produced by the band in collaboration with renowned producers Henrik Udd and Drew Fulk. The album serves as the follow-up to 2024’s The Black and is intended to be experienced as a journey through the extremes of the group’s signature sound .
