Greek extreme metal pioneers Rotting Christ have announced a reissue of their 2000 studio album, Khronos. The new edition will be released on July 10th, 2025, via Season of Mist. The album is historically significant as the final chapter of the band’s mid-90s gothic period before their transition toward more mythological and culturally centered themes.
Recorded at Abyss Studios in Sweden, Khronos is known for its cold texture and dark wave influences. It features notable tracks such as „Thou Art Blind” and a controversial cover of Current 93’s „Lucifer Over London.” Pre-orders for the reissue are currently active as part of the band’s ongoing catalog restoration project.
