Old-school death metal stalwarts Jungle Rot have released their 12th studio album, „Cruel Face Of War,” via Unique Leader Records. While the digital version is available immediately, the physical street date for CD and vinyl formats is set for May 15, 2026. Hailing from Kenosha, Wisconsin, the band has maintained a consistent presence in the extreme underground for over 30 years, specializing in a blend of thrash, death metal, and „slow stomp” grooves.

The new album features 12 tracks produced by Chris Djuricic and mixed and mastered by the renowned Dan Swanö. A significant highlight of the release is a guest vocal appearance by David Ingram of Benediction on the track „Horrors Vile.” Frontman Dave Matrise noted that hitting 12 releases is a major career milestone, emphasizing the band’s dedication to their trademark sound.
