Blindead 23, the newly reformed iteration of the prominent Polish progressive metal act, has signed a worldwide recording contract with Peaceville Records. The band, featuring former members of Behemoth and Katatonia, has announced their debut studio album titled Deuterium, set for release on April 24, 2026. The lineup currently includes founding guitarist Mateusz „Havoc” Śmierzchalski, Roger Öjersson, and drummer Paweł „Pavulon” Jaroszewicz.

The album was recorded and produced by David Castillo at Studio Gröndahl in Stockholm and is described as a conceptual journey spanning nearly an hour of multi-layered progressive metal. Deuterium incorporates elements of the band’s earlier sludge and post-metal foundations while integrating heavy riffs and hypnotic electronics. The tracklist features seven movements, including Immersion I & II, Worst Laid Plans, and the title track. The track can be streamed here. This release follows the 2025 vinyl single Disposed and represents a significant new chapter for the band as they transition into an avant-metal direction under a prestigious international label.
