The world’s biggest heavy metal cruise, 70000 Tons of Metal, has officially unveiled the first wave of artists for its highly anticipated 2027 voyage. The event is scheduled to return from January 14 to January 18, 2026, sailing from Miami, Florida, to Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic.
The initial roster of 14 artists represents a diverse cross-section of the global metal scene. Confirmed performers for the upcoming sailing include Arch Enemy, Evergrey, Obscura, Moonspell, and Warbringer. They will be joined by Enforcer, Æther Realm, Equilibrium, Brainstorm, and Die Apokalyptischen Reiter.
Organizers have also secured performances from Melechesh, Mors Principium Est, Thulcandra, and legendary guitarist Uli Jon Roth. As part of his appearance, Uli Jon Roth is slated to perform two special sets paying tribute to the 50th anniversaries of the iconic Scorpions albums Virgin Killer and In Trance.
The 2027 edition of 70000 Tons of Metal will take place aboard Royal Caribbean’s Freedom of the Seas. This luxury vessel will host 60 metal bands performing across four stages, including the legendary Pool Deck Stage, which is recognized as the world’s biggest open-air stage structure to ever sail the open seas.
