Montreal-based black metal ensemble Miserere Luminis has shared a new single, De Cris & De Cendres, ahead of their upcoming studio album, Sidera, due in March 2026. The track highlights the band’s stylistic shift toward „cinematic soundscapes” and contemplative textures within the framework of udręczonego black metal (tormented black metal).
The composition features a mixture of lush post-rock influences and raw DSBM elements, supported by arpeggiated guitar structures and emotive vocal performances. Miserere Luminis, formed in 2008, is known for their layered and emotionally dense approach to the genre. This latest output reinforces the band’s status as a significant contributor to the atmospheric black metal scene in North America.
