In a recent interview with Rolling Stone Brasil, Korn guitarist James “Munky” Shaffer provided an update on the band’s progress regarding their next studio album. Shaffer revealed that the writing process has yielded nearly 40 songs thus far. He emphasized that the band is taking considerable time to refine the material, as it has been several years since their last release.
The upcoming album will be the follow-up to 2022’s Requiem. While no official release date or title has been announced, the sheer volume of written material suggests that the band is in a deep creative phase. Fans expect the new record to build upon the nu-metal foundations the band helped pioneer.
