German slam metal practitioners Gutrectomy have released their second single and video, „Eating 6 Humans by Daylight,” in anticipation of their upcoming EP. The new project, titled Slamdown is not a phase, Mom, is set to arrive on May 29, 2026, via Arson Theory. The band has described the new material as a natural escalation of the themes established in their previous single, „Stepdad Slamfight,” focusing on unfiltered slam essentials including heavy grooves and crushing riffs.
In addition to the new release, Gutrectomy has confirmed a Europe Tour 2026 alongside Immortal Disfigurement. This tour represents the first opportunity for European audiences to experience the band’s latest material in a live setting. The band’s signature use of concussive grooves and guttural vocal delivery remains the focal point of the new single. With the EP release approaching at the end of May, the group is positioning themselves for a heavy touring cycle throughout the remainder of the year.
