The influential Norwegian black metal outfit Darkthrone has made their latest studio effort, Pre-Historic Metal, available for full streaming following its release on May 8, 2026. The album is issued under the Peaceville Records banner and consists of eight tracks that continue the duo’s exploration of primal, early-era metal aesthetics. The tracklist includes titles such as „They Found One of My Graves,” „Siberian Thaw,” and „The Dry Wells of Hell.”
Darkthrone has maintained a prolific output in recent years, often shifting between traditional black metal, crust punk, and heavy metal influences. Pre-Historic Metal appears to emphasize the band’s appreciation for the genre’s formative years. The album is currently being distributed globally in various formats.
