American project Xasthur has released „Running from Silence”, the final advance single from the upcoming studio album Open to Misinterpretation. The record is scheduled for arrival on October 2, 2026 through Prophecy Productions.
The self-recorded album continues the musical evolution of Xasthur, moving further into acoustic folk arrangements while retaining the somber, brooding atmosphere characteristic of the project’s earlier atmospheric black metal catalog.
„Running from Silence” serves as the closing preview before the full-length record reaches listeners. Xasthur has crafted a raw, intimate sonic landscape that relies heavily on fingerpicked guitar work and introspective vocal performances.
Physical editions of Open to Misinterpretation will be available on vinyl and CD formats through Prophecy Productions, with digital pre-orders currently open across major music retailers.
