Menstrual Disconsumed [new brutal taste experience]

I know you`re recordings the new stuff. Could you tell something about this?

First, thanks for the Interview. I’m so excited to tell and share to you about my new stuff. They are very massive with combination of bomb blast, blast beat, gravity blast like a Davide Billia’s style of Putridity, and Unpredictable riff like a Jake Wilkes’s style of Disentomb (Misery). I also combined that riff with other band’s style like Septical Gorge, Disgorge (USA), and Decaying Purity. In this project. I want show to others so as not underestimated one man band. Ya, I did use the programming drum (midi), but I also keep up with the order of a solid guitar riffs. Of course it’s all supported by BRUTAL INFECTION RECORDS. Brutal Infection Records will release my upcoming stuff.I hope you like it.

Currently Menstrual Disconsumed is a one-man-band. But I have seen on youtube your concert in full line-up. Why do these people already not play with you?

Hahaha…. Thanks for watched that video. Menstrual Disconsumed was formed while I was completing the final credit of college in Jember, East Java. When I graduated, the band had a vacuum in a few months because I have to go back to my hometown. Because the vacuum, Trendy (Drummer) left the band because of his work, and Zay (Bassist) decided to form a new band called Beheading Criminal. At that time I decided to stop playing music, and just wanted to be a normal metalhead, buying brutal Merch and CDs, watch concerts, eating, working, sleeping, pooping, and others. Ha ha ha… When I moved to Jakarta for get my Job, I want to form my band again, and decided to made a Menstrual Disconsumed as one man band in Jakarta.

You’re signed to Brutal Infection Records. What could you tell about the cooperation?

– Great. Alfan Afero of Brutal Infection Records have a good taste and perspective about bands, I thought he was not going to like one man band as his roster, but when he know Menstrual Disconsumed old single on reverbnation, he texted me and offer to get sign with Brutal Infection Records. haha… I never imagined that. I like his cares to Menstrual Disconsumed progress pre-recording, at the recording, and after. I hope Menstrual Disconsumed can be most brutal band in Brutal Infection Records and we will work together to make a brutal stuff for brutal peoples. Hahaha

What do you want the listener to get out of Menstrual Disconsumed music?

As I have previously discussed, I want show to others so as not underestimated one man band. I want people to know that I’m not kidding when I write these songs. I don’t make a guitar riff carelessly and monotone. I guarantee you will not be bored, people will get new brutal taste experience when hear Menstrual songs.

Could you tell us about the condition of Indonesian death metal scene? Which bands are worthy of attention, are there any concerts, festivals etc.?

– Indonesian Death Metal scene is getting awesome and heated. Every day many bands get the recording, every week and everywhere any concerts and festival presenting the appearance of brutal bands, every month many band have a great release with their promo, EP, or full lenght debut album. Nowadays you can find great band from Indonesia blow the world such as Cadavoracity, Asphyxiate, Reduced, Viscral, Jasad, Death Vomit, Abhira, Perverted Dexterity, Injury Deepen, Interfectorment, Chalera, etc.

I have heard Jakarta is a city in which there is a very big chaos, including communication. Do not you feel sometimes tired?

Yes, you are right. Eviction settlements, riots interests, thuggery, fighting between students, jams, robbery, and so has become a natural thing in Jakarta as the capital of Indonesia. According to me, which led to Jakarta in crisis communication is a combination of various factors. Among them may be hours outside the home, many people leave early to go to school or work in order to avoid congestion, home late due to stuck in traffic. So they do not have time to socialize with the environment outside the home. From the little things very affected the character of most people in Jakarta becomes hard and apathy toward others. There are still many other factors. But not everyone Jakarta like it. there are still many people who are caring, friendly, and fun. So far, I am quite comfortable in Jakarta with such good people.

I heard that Jakarta is a city where you can see a big difference in society. Rich neighborhoods contrast with the very poor. How does it look from your perspective?

You look so interested to discuss about Jakarta, Bro. hahaha… In my perspective Jakarta is totally crowded. You know, Jakarta every year visited by nomads from the region, every year the number is always increasing. Residents from the district think could get a lot of money in Jakarta. Young people from there went to Jakarta without ability and sufficient capital, causing a buildup of unemployment in Jakarta. Intense competition from newcomers with diverse educational backgrounds cause natural selection. Those who qualify will be successful in Jakarta, and the rest will be eliminated from the competition. Ironically, those who fail to compete even survive in Jakarta by setting up illegal housing for them to live. You can imagine what they are going further with their inability. On the other hand, the development of infrastructure and the investment climate is also increasing in Jakarta. Plant construction, highways, and office buildings everywhere become unbalanced comparison with the situation of the poor. The government is trying to relocate residents in illegal housing, but they instead take the fight to the government. I don’t know, hahaha… That’s totally fuckin’ crowded.

What traditional Indonesian dishes deserve in your opinion on the recommendation?

Hahaha…. I think you must taste Rendang from Padang, West Sumatera or Sate Kambing from Java. Rendang is a spicy meat dish which originated from the Minangkabau ethnic group of Indonesia, and is now commonly served across the country. One of the characteristic foods of Minangkabau culture, it is served at ceremonial occasions and to honour guests. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rendang). Sate kambing is the Indonesian name for „mutton satay”. This food is made by grilling goat meat that has been mixed with seasoning. (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sate_kambing). If you’re not Veg, I recommend You to try them!

Have you ever had the opportunity to be in Europe? How do you imagine this place?

No, I have not, but I hope get that opportunity. hehehe… Europe, I imagine it as a place that is filled with doves fluttering around the crowd, Filled with roman style buildings, people walk using a thick coat, Ha ha ha… I don’t know. Maybe you can tell me about Europe.

Most of the people in your country are Muslims. What is your approach to religion?

I’m a Muslim. Please, Do not misunderstand Muslims. Do not see Muslims as terrorists, not the interpreter of Muslim suicide bombings, attacking the World Trade Center, the Pentagon, and other conspiracies. ISIS, Al-Qaeda and other terrorist organizations that merely interest groups in the name of Islam. I understand there is Islamophobia in Europe and other western regions. Here we live tolerate the non-Muslim population, we protect them, we respect them, and we are brothers with them. ISIS, Sadam Hussein, al-Qaeda and other similar organizations only interest organizations on the political turmoil of the world, has nothing to do with Islam. I am Muslim, and I am proud to be a Muslim who plays Brutal music. Lol!
