Italian death metal trio Into Darkness has confirmed that their debut full-length album, Route to the Other Side, will be released on July 24, 2026. The album is being handled by Dying Victims Productions and will be available on CD and vinyl LP formats. The band, active since 2011 and led by vocalist/guitarist Doomed Warrior, has released a new track titled „Jupiter” as a preview.
Into Darkness utilizes a lyrical focus categorized as divulgative astronomy, moving away from traditional sci-fi or occult themes in favor of realistic cosmic observations. Stylistically, the band aligns with old-school Dutch death metal influences. Route to the Other Side is a concept record exploring the outer solar system. The band describes their approach as prioritizing timeless death metal songcraft and astral atmosphere over cliché sonic signifiers.
