Lord Ahriman expressed high levels of excitement regarding the development of the new songs, though he noted that his bandmate Heljarmadr has cautioned against overconfidence until the work is fully complete. The duo has been in constant communication as the tracks evolve.
While the writing is nearing its end, Dark Funeral fans will have to wait until 2027 to hear the finished product. The band plans to ensure the production quality meets their standards before the formal release via Century Media.
This upcoming album will serve as the follow-up to their previous successful efforts, maintaining the band’s status at the forefront of the Swedish black metal scene. Lord Ahriman promised that the new material will be „killer” once it finally arrives.
