Hard rock icons AC/DC have been forced to cancel their upcoming concert at Rogers Stadium in Toronto following structural damage caused by a severe microburst storm.
Engineers conducting safety inspections alongside city officials determined that sections of the stadium venue were unsafe to host fans. Live Nation executive Wayne Zronik emphasized that attendee and crew safety remained the paramount priority.
The cancelled AC/DC show was originally scheduled to close out the summer concert season at the venue. All ticket purchases made through primary channels will be automatically refunded via Ticketmaster.
Remediation work on Rogers Stadium is underway, with organizers aiming to complete repairs in time for next year’s concert season.
